"that perfect number"

Hi all :)
I've been on this site for a month now and enjoy reading the posts. I originally joined just to maintain whilst supporting my partner in his weight loss journey. I have noticed though in a lot of the 'perfect weight' type topics that girls my height are meant to weigh a fair bit more than I do...

It has made me think "should I be gaining, not maintaining" or should I stop worrying about "that perfect number" and just be happy with maintaining which I set out to do originally.
I know if I put more muscle on that would bring my weight up... maybe I should be thinking more along those lines.

Opinions welcome :)

stats..
height 5'5ft
weight 110ibs (50kg's)
(small boned)

For someone your height you are slightly under weight, you can check this on either of these links :

    http://bmicalc.org/bmi-calculator-for-women

    http://lowfatdietplan.com/bmi-calculator

for a healthy weight your BMI (Body Mass Index) should be 19 - 25 so you should aim to be around 115lb to be at the very bottom of the 'normal' range on a BMI chart
  • Thanks :)

I don't tend to pay too much close attention to BMI. To me BMI is a rough guideline, everyone is built differently.

    BMI......
Male athelets are over weight and petite people are under weight.
