I'm new here and hoping I can pull this off, I have a severe lack of will power and I like to eat when I'm stressed, upset, happy, breathing
A little about me.
I'm a (mostly) SAHM of 2, I do work one or 2 shifts a wee at the local convenience store, which is NOT a good place to be if you want to eat better.
I've only got about 15 lbs to lose, but i'm just having such a hard time with it. I'd love to lose half of it before i get married in about 6 weeks (in a secret ceremony shhhhhh)
ummm.........I like to sew for my kids, Savana who will be 6 next month and Ben who will be 2 in August.
a couple of months ago I had half of my thyroid removed (and the BENIGN!! tumor that was growing on it) I still haven't sorted out all of the hormones since the operation but had my levels tested last week and get results on friday.
not sure what else to say, but i look forward to learning from you guys on this site and eating better for me and the rest of my family

Welcome. Take small steps, for example, if you go to food when you're stressed or what not - continue to go to food - carrots, celery, cucumber, any "negative calorie" food that takes more calories to digest than is actually in it... plus the crunch and chew will keep your mouth busy. Next step start really noting every bite that goes in your mouth. See where you're at. Step 3 set up a calorie deficit but don't make it so high you're starving. You have very little weight to lose and it will take a LONG time. Accept that, enjoy the journey. And it's not all about the weight loss, but about toning and tightening your body. Would you be happy if you can lose an entire size in clothing even if you didn't lose that weight? You can do that.
