I just logged in Cottage cheese I ate for 1/2 it gave me over 400mg of salt! Is this correct? I thought cottage cheese was healthy??

  • Yeah. Since joining this site, I've found out a lot of things I used to eat and thought were healthy are really not. It seems like if the package says low fat, it's loaded with sugar or salt. Or if it says sugar-free, it's loaded with fat. I'm just glad this site spells it all out so we can finally know the truth.

I know. Most of the food I eat now are unprocessed so it's ok that I occasionally use low sodium soy sauce or eat cottage cheese. I've looked for low sodium cottage cheese but I haven't been able to find any. Has any one been able to ??

i eat cottage cheese everyday, i buy no fat and no salt and mix them together. i buy it from safeway. superstore also sells dry cottage cheese that has next to no salt and mix it with the regular stuff.
sometimes i add cocoa and splenda blend it together add some fresh strawberries and voila chocolate cheese cake tasting stuff!
