Hi all,
I'm a 46 year old male 263 lb.
I have a slight disability in the fact that I only have one leg as i lost the other 26 years ago in a car accident.

I was reading the recent post about doing push ups and wanted to ask you all what you thought,
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/540963-for-those-like-me-that-can-t-do-pushups

I can only do about 3 real push ups, I'm going to give this method a try as i would really like to be able to do the 100 one day....
would only having the one leg make it much harder,
sometimes i lose balance when trying push ups but i think this is weight related rather than only having the one leg, ha
I struggle with some exercises but may be push ups might be the answer for me.
I have no prosthetic limb so can't go walking/running etc but need to do more, a lot more exercise in general
Right now I'm lifting from a bench, rowing but this is very hard on my knee, i use dumb bells, walking on my crutches and pulling weights on a pulley system.

Any help or ideas appreciated

Andy

I knew I couldn't speak from experience to this one, so I actually went on the web and searched for "one-legged cardio" and there really isn't a whole lot! Swimming mainly. There was also a suggestion for the elliptical which, according to them, could be done on one leg, not sure. Then there was a video of one-legged burpee, but looked very hard!

    good luck..
