Inches not pounds

Had to get new work clothes yesterday as I felt I was wearing someone elses suit and shirt. (an expensive byproduct of eating healthy)
I was measured and I have dropped 3 shirt sizes (I only had the guts to go 2 sizes down). I got one new suit as well. It's the first time I have bought one and it fitted me without any alteration. It's 4 inches less than my old suit that only stayed up with a belt.
It's good to feel like my clothes won't fall off if I stand up too quick!
I hate shopping but it looks like I will have to get a complete wardrobe if I can maintain over the next few months. I guess the new clothes will be my new benchmark. I can't go back and put weight on if I want to have any clothes to fit.
I don't know how you girls can do it. It must cost a fortune to change you body size!

Well done on dropping the inches.
You must be buzzing. x0 -
Congratulations! That is a great achievement.
I've dropped quite a few sizes and yes, it was quite expensive until I got clever about it and started op-shopping. I just purchased three work pants, and two pairs of jeans for $28. I was very happy with this. It's great to know that I can continue to lose and not have to worry about the expense of new clothes.
Of course, if there is a nice top or dress that I want brand new, I may just get it. But I'm not going to spend a massive amount on clothes that will only be in my wardrobe for a limited time.0 -
I'm on a quest to lose some 80ish pounds. I can't decide whether to envy you for your success or mourn your wallet :P
Thankfully, in my case anyway, I kept some of my thinner clothes to help ease my own transition. Should be able to lose another 40lbs I think before I have to start thinking about a new wardrobe. That, and I've always been a belt wearer, even in my larger stages, so I'm prepared belt wise.
I don't envy girls and their clothes, either. Men can get by wearing looser pants and a belt in just about every setting. Most women's styles don't really seem to work that way.0 -

Actually no.
I am a frugal Scotsman. Having to spend money on new clothes makes me sad.
I just wear baggy t-shirts at home so that is fine but I have had to get 2 new pairs of jeans and they are almost falling off me because I only dropped a single size. Thanks god for belts!0
