To the men; is sex really such a deal breaker?

Would you start a relationship or stay in it, if your partner didn't want to have sex with you? What I mean when I say this is if they had old fashioned values, as in they wanted until their wedding night, that sort of thing?
I'm christian and actually pretty old fashioned when it comes to this sort of thing, so I want to wait until I'm married to have sex again. Yes I've slept with boys in the past but that was before I gave my life back to god.
My ex always said no guy would ever stay with someone if they weren't having sex, so I'd just like to clear this up.
I also understand you never know if that person you are with is the person you are going to marry and spend the rest of your life with, but does this really mean everything?
