I have a Polar FT60 and LOVE LOVE LOVE it, but I'm having issues with the strap as of lately! The plastic piece in the back is digging into my back during my runs (and ONLY during my runs) and it's honestly a little painful! I've been dealing with it but today when I was pealing my clothes off I noticed a long streak of blood on my shirt and the top of my pants. I looked at my back and there is a HUGE gash! Has anyone else had this problem???? Also, why is this only happening during my runs?

I have been scraped by my strap. It was a small scrap, but turned into an infection, because I did not realize I was cut by it. That is the only problem that I've had. It was also not by a plastic piece. Maybe buy a new strap?0

Is it too tight or something? Whenever I have a clothing tag or bra strap that digs into me, I wrap a band-aid around it to provide some cushioning. You could try that with your HRM piece.0

I don't know if it's too tight.... it's actually really comfortable as long as I"m not running for distance. The days that I just incorporate a 2 mile run in with lifting or other cardio, I'm fine.... But as soon as I start running for 5 miles + it's super painful? And it's not even a time thing.... I had it on less today than about 4 other days this week? I just don't get it?0 -
I have have a different HRM, but have never heard of that happening. maybe you can put some medical tape on it or something like that to make it so it's not chaffing you so much? is it right over your spine? that might be why it's cutting so much, can you shift it? and it probably only happens when you run because you more around a lot more then.0

Maybe it's chaffing while you run if it's comfortable otherwise? Not sure how to prevent that, but ouch!0

Contact Polar directly ... they are usually really good about things like that... they may even send u a new strap. I have the FT7 which also has the chest strap and I am not sure if they are different but mine is really comfy. I forget I am wearing it usually!0

I have the FT7 and my strap started to rub and dig in right where the fastener sits. Now I alternate which side the fastener is on. I don't have any real suggestions for you . . . . but I do feel your pain. . . . literally.0
