Ladies please...

Who here on MFP wear's girdles? Like I am trying on old shirts that used to fit me is why I'm dieting. I try them on I look like a slob but than I put on my girdle just to try it out I look awesome. The shirts fit more better.

I just ordered a Squeem. Not for the thinning affect because there's not much fat to squat down but I love the feeling of something hugging me (it feels amazing on my bad back). I'm kinda curious how people find the body shape-e things...I forget what the popular one is called

I've lost 27 pounds but I still have another 30 to go...when I wear tighter fitting shirts I like to wear one as it smooths out the belly & makes the stretch marks from having 2 boys less noticeable if the shirt is form fitting. I also like it for some extra back support!

I mean I look great standing up but sitting down I hate my belly roll over my jeans ew.. I just hope one day ill get there actually fit in these shirts again. Some are still kind of snugged.
  • Back in the 60s all the ladies wore them...they didnt let it all hang out like they do now..it makes you look better in your cloths.
  • I didn't know people were still wearing girdles. I wear Spanx and I love them. They give me the support that I need without cutting off my circulation. Try one of the many varieties of Spanx.

Spanx (and body shapers) are the contemporary equivalent to girdles.

i like squeem over spanx. but squeem is almost at corset level of suck in action  the main complaint with squeem is that it's not breathable. your midsection will sweat

i think that no matter what size i get,i'll still need to wear something for my thighs to avoid the thigh rub when in wearing skirts.

I wear only skirts now that I'm a larger size b/c with my body shape they are much more pleasing to the eye.. once you wear them for a week or 2 then it gets where you don't need anything unless you sweat a lot... then god save your crouch... ! USE GOLD BOND!!
