So everyone says a healthy weight loss is only 2 pounds per week. However, what if you are doing it the healthy way and all naturally but you drop more than 2 pounds a week? If you are eating right and working out it is very likely. What are your opinions?

If you have a large amount to lose, then yes, it can be healthy. I have over 100 lbs to lose. I can have weeks where I lose 2-5 lbs. It varies. I'm still early in the journey. It will slow down eventually.

I'm 5'3" 190lbs and losing 2lbs a week now. I am eating very healthy and only natural foods. It can be maintained and you can enjoy it. Just make sure you are getting the proper nutrients. A calorie is a calorie.. but it's useless if you don't include all of your vitamins and minerals to sustain the normal functions of your body.

I've been told the exact same thing. I'm still early on and the weight is dropping fast for me too. If you're eating well and hitting your macros/micros just enjoy it. Not looking forward to the slow down honestly!

Edit - Just saw I said the exact same thing as itgeek...good advice there!

If you have a lot to lose it would be okay I would say. Just don't make it too hard! That leads to gaining it back IMO

Also your previous unhealthy lifestyle can play a part.
That has happened to me many years ago. Lots of bad food, garbage snacks and every drink was sugary something.
Somehow I did not end up in a diabetic coma. when I was diagnosed with type 2 my blood sugar was the high 700's.
I was put on a diet, meds and gave up sugary drinks. My weight started dropping like a biggest loser contestant.
Like has been said the closer to normal weight the slower it goes. At least that is the way it should work.
