Couldn't get my heart rate up during exercise today?

Hi -
I work out about 3-5 times/week and often go to spin class. Yesterday I went for a run and my heart rate was around 165-175, which is normal. I went out last night, had 3 drinks, went home relatively early (midnight). Got up this morning and went to spin class. I couldn't get my heart rate above 160 according to my Garmin Forerunner 210 HRM. It was weird. It felt like I was working hard but this wasn't reflected by my HRM. I'm not sure if my monitor wasn't reading correctly. I adjusted my strap to make sure it was touching my skin in the correct spot but that didn't change anything. Maybe I was tired and felt like I was working out hard but I really wasn't? Maybe the alcohol depressed my heart rate in some way? Any ideas? Also, I've gone out and worked out the next day before and this hasn't happened before. Anyone experience this? I just changed the battery in my HRM strap 2 weeks ago so I don't think it's that.
Thanks in advance.

I'd say that you weren't working as hard. Even if it felt like it.
I got up early this morning and got on the arc trainer at the gym. As much as I tried, I could barely get my heart rate into the 160s. Normally, it's much higher. I think my body was more tired than I realized and I couldn't kick it into next gear.0
