So I've been doing something like the couch to 5 k training, not really their plan but like the interval training. And lately my ankles have been getting more sore when doing it, so my question is do i have to rest or can i wrap my ankles and be ok?

It sounds to me like your form is off.
You should have your shoulders dropped, arms swinging, but not in front of you, that creates drag, leaned forward ever so slightly, hips straight, hit the ground with your mid foot not your heel or toe. And make sure you are picking your legs up off the ground and propelling yourself forward more than up. The more you bounce, the harder the impact. You don't want to "drop" your legs and feet on the ground either, it's kind like when you cycle, you pull up on the backstroke, not just push down.
If you're having knee or ankle issues, I would say to do more squats and lunches and make sure your form matches above.0 -
what kind of shoes are you running in?0

Lunches? Damned autocorrect. That should be lunges.0
