Hello everyone!

I've been exercising for 2 1/2 months now and just started weight training 4 days ago. I'm new to doing weights and want to make sure I am doing it right! I was going to do it 3 times a week and 3 reps of 10 for each machine. Is that right? Also I just wanted to know am I going to feel this sore every time I do weights or is it because I just started? I don't know if I can handle being in this much pain 3 days every week! lol. Any advice is appreciated!! Thanks!!

Your body will adjust. You will not always be as sore as you are now. It is from just beginning strength training. Free weights would serve a bigger benefit. 8-12 reps is fine as long as the last few reps are difficult.

I've seen a lot of women swear by the book New Rules of Lifting for Women, which you can find here on Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/The-New-Rules-Lifting-Women/dp/1583332944

Sounds like you're on track. Might be worth it to pay a trainer for a session or two just to check your technique and maybe set you up with a program. Good luck!
