My close friends on here know what I have been going through lately with my weight loss and have supported me very well. I decided I would post my issue on the forum for a little extra motivation because things are just not kicking in for me. So heres my story:
I started using this site and was able to lose 27lbs in about 7 months. I and 5'9" and went from 158 to 131lbs. Healthy eating, lots of work outs and drastic improvements in my mood followed. I was not happy though. I had lost all of that weight but I did not realize how much muscle I lost from only focusing on calories and not macros. I was slim, but not toned.

Okay, now let's talk about the past three months. I have intensified my workouts and get awesome burns. I have built up a LOT of muscle, endurance, and strength. But how did this happen? I started eating over maint. I did not do this purposely either. I guess you could say I "lost control" and would eat even if I was not hungry. So for a while I was happy about it because I was getting the muscle I always wanted. Sadly, when I gained, I gained fat as well. I am now at 146lbs.

So my journey has taken me from 158 to 131 and now back up to 146. Let me say that I know it is never too late to turn things around. I am practical and understand that where I am starting from to lose this fat is a much better place than I was at when I was 158. Not just because I am at a lower weight than 158, but my lean body mass to fat ratio is much better now.

I have been trying very hard to get myself to eat properly for about a month now but I keep falling back into "binges." When I say binge, I mean I am eating at least 1,000kcal more than my goal.

What I am wondering is if anyone else has been here. What is your story? How did you feel? How long did it take you to get back on track?

I have realized there is just so many details and convolutions when losing weight. The learning never ends...
