different exercises throughout the day

I am just starting to get my fitness levels up so running for 30 minutes is not going to happen now.
If I do 15 minutes dancing in the morning, 5 minutes jumping jacks later and some yoga in the evening for example, is it as effective as doing it at one specific time?

I don't know about calorie burn but anything is good when getting going. I think I started at like 15 minutes a day. Working around your life and finding the best time or times of day for a full workout can be a challenge, and the short times throughout the day might help you figure out when is the best for you as well.0

You may not get the exact same burn as continuos exercise, but little bits throughout the day is better than none at all! And you will soon build up your endurance if you keep at it and will be able to exercise for 30 minutes and more in no time!0

Thank you so much for the replies. So I'm going to just keep going for now until I have more endurance.0

Please do try couch to 5k, it ease you into the 30 minutes so well! Really worth trying, if you have an ipod you never even have to think about times, it gives it all to you on a plate. Good luck!0
