Okay, I know it's when you sort of stop losing...but my weight is Never the same two days in a row. So is it hovering around 1 or 2 (or is it a bigger variance?) lbs of a particular weight and then for how long? One week, two weeks, three days? Just not sure what actually makes "it" a plateau and not just a part of regular weight loss?

It seems like a simple question, but I have a friend who has a three day 1 lb rule when she's in diet mode..another who says a week of little to no movement and yet I know having tracked my weights for the past couple of months. There have been two spikes in weight (up 3-4 lbs) and then a gradual move back to the low weight over the course of a few days, and I wondered if that was it? I'm sure I'm overanalyzing, but I was curious what the thought was.

Simply, it's when you're trying to achieve a goal and seem to progress fine then suddenly come to a stop even though you continue with what you were doing to get the progression.

So if you were losing weight, then maybe every week you lose 5-10lbs for a month, then suddenly 1lb or nothing or it goes up over a week.
