If I know I am going to have a big dinner because of a special occasion, is it ever ok to skip lunch to save some of the calorie intake?

Yes. However, it may be wise to have a light snack mid-day so that you aren't ravenous at dinner and end up eating more than planned.0

Eat whenever you'd like, as long as you're burning more than you're consuming, you will lose weight.0 -
This happens alot for us and I either do a low carb lunch or eat very lightly. I never skip a meal; eat every 2-3 hours; bc I will overeat if I do.0
