Hello. Well I got to my goal weight gain (lost 80 lbs total). Ive been there for about a year now. I switched my birth control from Ortho- tricylen Lo to BeYaz. Ive only been on it for 2 months now and Ive already gained 8 pounds even though I still work out! I can tell my appetite is increased a lot too! So now I'm switching to Seasoniqe. Should I be worried about gaining on this pill? Ive researched and it doesn't have the same ingredients as Beyaz, but I'm still worried. HELP!

My doc switched my from Ortho-lo to Beyaz. I was on it for 3 months and didn't gain weight.. however I did have trouble losing that whole time. Also, I hated the unpredicatability of my period on Beyaz (compared to Ortho)... plus I started getting acne around that time of the month.
I've now been back on Ortho for a month and I'm so much happier. Not saying that my weight loss is related to switching back to Ortho, however I've actually been able to shed a few lbs since switching back and my skin is clear again. I'm pretty sure most docs would say the weight gain isn't from the pill though- however check. Your horomones might be out of whack and that could be affecting your appetite.0 -
Is BeYaz similar to Yaz? I'm guessing it is. I was on Yaz for a few months and had a nearly uncontrollable appetite! I used to feel like I was trolling for food around the office most days. Seriously, it (I) was terrible! My doc switched me Azurette and my appetite is so much more manageable.0

Same thing just happened to me this month. I was at my 1st goal, switched from Yasmin (not Yaz) to Lo Loestrin FE and slapped on 4lb in a matter of 2 days. Then I put on 2 more lb 2 days later. I've been walking around with this weight, plus PMS symptoms for almost 3 weeks. Yasmin just worked better with me. Needless to say, I won't be sticking with this one. I've tried it before and did the 3 month thing with it. It sucked then too. For all 3 months. Sometimes you need to give them a chance, but sometimes they're so terrible it's not worth doing that to yourself to see whether it works well with your body. Good luck.0
