i dont understand why people come to workout && then head straight over to a buffet to stuff their face full of food? at the 24 hour fitness i work at like 2 doors down is a CICI's && i cant count how many times i see someone come workout for MAYBE 30 min to go next door for all you can eat. and yet they complain about not seeing results. ( i had a client do this to me once) no offense but just because you worked out does not mean you can now chow down on whatever. anybody else see this often or find it dumb. or someone comes in to workout only because they want to be able to eat a cookie later? now your workouts arent for a healthy lifestyle choice or even because you enjoy it its too not feel guilty about eating something? idk to me a workout is meant to better myself && make me feel good not be some chore just so i can have one oreo.

anybody else know people who do this??

Oh one of my pet peeves! I too work out at a 24 hour gym and plenty of fast food places around... people come in walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes and then maybe do a horrible weights circuit for 10 minutes the bugger off to eat at the crappy places! No offence but you may as well give up the gym!

I think it's okay to pig out every once in a while, but working out for 30 min and then going straight to the buffet is really ridiculous... haha

I have a dear friend who refuses to work out with me because I won't do this. She uses working out as an excuse to eat unhealthy. She has a group who do water aerobics 2 times a week then go to IHOP. I just tell myself at least she is doing something good for herself since she would probably eat at IHOP anyway.

Love her but can't allow her attitude to effect the way I work out. I have another friend who will kick serious butt with me and not expect me to pig out after

Ha, one of my friends spent about 2 hours at a gym. When she was leaving the gym, she called me and told me about her new success at that she was on her way to Burger King. What did she order? She made a nice choice by ordering her very first side salad... then she ordered a whopper and coke to match. I was like... o.O huh?

Everyone's motivation is different. For some it's about health, for others it's an oreo. *shrugs*

i agree i think every now and then yeah cool its fine lol. but i have a friend who wont even work out i mention it and its like a virus to her she cringes and complains the maybe 3 times i got her to come with me right after she goes wooo i can have taco bell now.
-_- defeats the purpose so needless to say i stop inviting her . but ive noticed this has definitely become a bigger pet peeve for me.

its like when someone orders a super sized meal and goes ill have the DIET coke. haha, as if that makes it all okay. my grandma use to crack jokes like that she'd go you already killed the calories might as well keep going bud.

At the same point is it not better to save the calories where they can? Liquid calories are always the easiest to let get away from you.....

Yes but some people don't order diet coke and a king-sized meal thinking "I should save the rest of these calories and go with the diet coke instead." The thought process comes closer to, "Hey I'm on weight-loss diet! Let me eat everything and replace everything I drink (including water) with diet coke!"
