lack of endurance.

Im really short so i feel i carry my weight in a funny way. Any other shorties out there with that insecurity?
&& also Ive been exercising almost every day. And i WANT to run, but i sprint for like, 20 sec and i get exhausted.
And then i decided maybe if i jog slowly ill have more endurance, but, it doesnt seem to be helping. any advice?

15 mins HIIT cardio instead of steady state cardio.

Try doing the C25K program. It stands for Couch to 5k and it slowly trains you to be able to run/jog a 5k. I'm not a runner at all, but am on week 4 of the program and have seen tons of improvement from when I first started. It's still a struggle, but as long as I keep trying I know I'll be able to succeed. My endurance and stamina have been gradually increasing with each workout. Add me as a friend if you'd like and we can help each other out. Good luck to you!

    These guys are right,

C25K is a great start as it eases you into a style of interval training with a long term goal of endurance running.IT has follow on programs for 8kn, 10km etc. Once complete you can do it again but up your walk/run speeds.

HITT is also good or even shorter Tabata (again google it) will see you're endurance levels go up.

Try doing the beep test every month or so, that way you have a real indicator of how it is all working for you.

Well, I started c25k 4 weeks ago, but just joined mfp a week ago because I knew I would never see any results if I didn't drastically alter my diet. I'm down to 1200 calories/day, too, and know it can be tough sometimes. Good luck!

I'm a little concerned that you are eating under 1200 calories - have you checked that this is definitely above your BMR (number of calories you would consume for basic needs if you were in a coma)?

Some EXTREMELY short and petite people would have a BMR under 1200 bur this would be very, very rare.

If you are eating less than your BMR you will feel tired and have no endurance as your body will be trying to conserve energy it needs to keep your body functioning.

Also, the type of food you are eating may be unbalance - still eat 'good' fats such as olive oil, oily fish, avocado, nuts etc - reduce the fast food fats, butter dressings

Make sure you get plenty of lean protein such as fish and chicken - about .8 to 1 gram per pound of lean bodyweight
