Can you stand another question about zig-zagging??

I know there are a ton of them here, and I've tried to read a bunch of them. I've visited the freedieting site and calculated my sample week. I still don't understand if those are supposed to be NET calories or if that is my number for the day, regardless of how much I exercise. Sorry if this has been gone over elsewhere. I've tried to wade through a bunch of the threads, but apparently I still don't get it. TIA
