You can eat anything you like and still lose weight as long as you pay attention to calories. Of course, eating a varied diet including lots of fruit and veggies is much more likely to make you feel good and stay healthy. I see no problem with potatoes (boiled, baked, microwaved, made into oven fries... however you like them) as part of a varied healthy diet. Yes, they have carbs but carbs don't frighten me. My opinion is that unless you have a medical reason to avoid carbs, they aren't going to be a problem.

hey if i keep my calories balanced and have boiled potatos with no toppings is that going to affect my fat percentage or weight assuming i eat healthily? i lift and do cardio.
