WeightLoss and MEDS

I am currently on a med that slows my weight loss down a great deal. Does anyone else have this problem? Or a jump start plan? Or any advice?! TIA!

What med? I'm on Seroquel, which helped me gain about 40lbs in the first place but I need it for my bipolar and anxiety. It makes you gain though by increasing your appetite. I'm not on Ritalin because YES I DO HAVE adult A.D.D. so that decreased my appetite, but its definitley not making it easier to loose. I do think on of them is hindering my hard work though
I'm just wondering if you can talk to your doctor and see if there is any other med w/o those side effects. What I do is cardio 6 days a week, and eat as close to my calorie goal as possible. The weight is going but it is slow.0 -
Actually its Lithium for my bipolar! Its helped me gain 35 pounds and I have yo-yo'd for the last few years. Its harder to loose the longer I've been on it. (9 years) and my Dr. says there isn't really anything I can do about it!
Glad to know I am not the only one struggling with this!
