Prenatal vitamins - safe amounts

This is a little off-topic I think, but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I'm not pregnant yet, but we're planning for it this year and I'm trying to get healthy and lose weight beforehand. My doctor recommends prenatals up to 3 months before conception. We didn't talk about amounts, so I plan on doing some research before I go in again.

Does anyone have a list of safe & recommended amounts of vitamins and minerals for expectant moms?

should be safe with a packaged prenatal MVA, it will probably be a normal MVA plus extra folic acid

folic acid is the most important prenatal supplement

Prenatal vitamins are pretty standard, most are 1 a day. If you can find one with extra folic acid, that's the most important bit.
