Differentiating between hunger, fullness and digestion

Hi,

This may seem like a silly question, but as I begin my health plan I am having trouble deciphering what my stomach is telling me. My stomach grumbles when I am hungry, full and when it is just digesting. Sometimes after I eat a small snack or even a meal, I feel hungry, but then again, it could just be my body digesting.

How do you tell the difference between the tummy grumbles? Does it matter?
Thank you!

Sarah

    Ignore tummy grumble differentiation.

You'll find a schedule that works for you and you'll know when it's time to eat. It's a lot of trial and error figuring this out.

Some people eat one big meal a day, some eat six small meals, some eat three squares. It's about finding the right combo for you. If you depend on your hunger signals, it's easy to get misled.

When I feel hungry, I just drink a glass of cold water. Wait 10-20 minutes, and if it's still a hunger feeling, then I'm really hungry, if not - I was just dehydrated.

That's what I try to do. It really helps. Chalene Johnson who makes Turbofire says to drink 8oz 20 minutes before each meal to help make you more full.
