After walking a little over 3 miles yesterday and wearing nasty blisters on the bottoms of my feet I am thinking I need a pair of walking shoes. Do walking shoes actually prevent this? How are they different than regular shoes? Any suggestions to what brand/ kind would be best?

You just want to make sure you have well-fitting comfortable shoes that shouldn't give you blisters. If you are going to start walking a lot and this is new for you, go to a good sports shoe store and get professionally fitted. it is worth the extra money whether you are running or walking to have proper shoes.0

The shoes I was wearing are very comfortable to me, and have never given me blisters before. That's why I wore them, because I've never had a problem with them. I tend to walk a lot most days and have never had a problem like this. hmmm0
