I have interviewed hundreds of people for positions from upper management to minimum wagers. If you are clean, neat, know what you are talking about and are confident without being cocky, I would have hired you. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

I'm around 5'5 and weigh 196. I'm very overweight and I know I'm not pretty or anything. I just got a bunch of emails back for jobs and I'm supposed to go for interviews, but I'm afraid I won't get the jobs because I don't look a certain way :\ Has anyone else felt this way and what did you do? :(

First of all that whole statement about you not being pretty. Change that negative thinking. that's not healthy at all. Alot of us are overweight that's why we are all on this website encouraging one another. As far as the job goes, have faith and Remain positive. You never know how the outcome will be. It's sad that in some cases jobs do go on the appearances and not the qualifications of the applicant. If that's the case they didn't need you working for them. Hope this helps.

I've often wondered the same thing. I'm 5'5 and weigh 245 and have been job hunting for almost three years. I've have quite a few interviews that went really well, only to be passed over and I've always wondered if it was weight related. Everyone has given you great advice, which I also plan to use. Good luck to you on your job hunt.
