what should my goal weight be?

I'm a 5'4 (on a good day lol) female... I have pretty uh, giant, boobs that have been this way since I was 15, I'm 23 now. so I don't know if I can lose much weight off them. literally, I have gained about 40lbs since being that age, and my boobs have been the same size. anyways. so I'm about 150 now, what weight should I try to get down to? thanks!

I read on live strong that a good determining of your goal weight should be for Women: start with 100 LBS for the first 5 feet of your height, then for every inch after add 5 lbs, so being 5'4" 4*5= 20 + 100 = 120 for a goal weight. Just from what I read, hope this helps!

Also, if men are interested, it's the same formula except you start at 106 and add 6 lbs for every inch after 5 feet.

Whatever weight YOU are comfortable with. If you are comfortable where you are, try toning. Don't pay too much attention to the scale but better yet, how you feel :) As long as you are in a healthy weight range.

That really depends on how much bodyfat% you are aiming for.

You need to know how much lean mass you have at the moment - go to http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/
do the military fat% calculator then do the goal weight calculator to find your range.

    That's not realistic - I'm 4ft 11 - I have around 100lbs of lean mass - I certainly wouldn't want to lose any of it!

even with 15% bodyfat that would put me at 116lbs.

    I am 5'4" also.

I think it's a very personal thing dependent on your shape and size.

I, too, have "big boobs", which unfortunately are way too big currently, but I know they'll shrink when I do ...

Anyway, back to your question ... I found 135lbs a great weight for me. 120lbs was never possible, not even when I was 15, even though I spent years trying.

135lbs and toned, meant a great shape, 125lbs and no exercise .... I was larger.

For me, the number on the scale was nice, but the shape and definition was better ... I hope this helps some.

This time around, I am much older than you (40), and my aim is 145 and toned ... I'll take it from there !

I am 5'3" and my goal weight is around 120. But I agree with the others, what works for one person may not work for another and you should focus less on the actual number on the scale and more on measurements and overall fitness.
