POLAR FT7 BATTERY CHANGE ON TRANSMITTER

Hi all, battery has died on the chest transmitter and i cannot no matter how hard i try get the battery out...Totally screwed up the slot with a screwdriver...My old one used to fall out when on the open mark.
Any suggestions???

I had heaps of trouble with mine too... I eventually got the cover plate to unscrew with a coin but then I couldn't remove the battery itself. I ended up taking it to a watch battery kiosk and they replaced it. Do you know that apparently Polar will not quarentee the water resistance unless the batteries are changed by a Polar authorised outlet?0

Once I got mine turned to the unlock position, I had to gently rap it on the counter a few times.0

Tried tapping it...almost tried hitting it with a hammer too...
