FYI If a food has a 100 calories and it doesn't show fat/carbs/protein, it was entered wrong.
Soda, candy, etc are out. Unless it's sugar free of course.0 -
Just cut em out! There's really no trick to it. Instead of a hamburger on a bun, eat the patty in a bowl with some pickle slices and tomatoes and mayo or whatever. Instead of pasta, use spaghetti squash or just skip it. Instead of potatoes, eat cauliflower. Keep it simple, a steak and a salad. Or a chicken breast and some broccoli. Or a pork chop and... blah blah blah. You get the idea.
Desserts, I liked strawberries and whipped cream. NOT cool whip, real whipped cream. ISI cream whippers are awesome, I just pour some heavy whipping cream and some da vinci sugarfree syrups into my whipper and you have flavored whip cream. Of course you could whip it by hand too.
Snacks: Almonds, string cheese, hardboiled eggs, beef jerky, pepperoni slices, pickles...

Thank You!!!! This is an awesome advice! I am going to try not to eat so much of those and try to do better.. I am a carb lover but I think it hates me.0 -
like you i am a carb lover but carbs really dislike me, i have to cut out bread and chips for a while i try to go 6 days and have a treat day were i can eat sandwiches and or chips...
never cut out a food you love altogether as it will just make you miserable i hope this can help you even if its just a little0 -
I have been doing a low carb/low glycemic index diet for over a year now and it has been working for me. I have pretty much cut out all the cereal, rice, pasta, taters and bread in my diet. I eat a low carb/high fiber tortilla as my "bread" for sandwiches etc and really only have rice if I go to sushi. I also try to focus on eathing foods that are not processed which immediately takes alot of high carb foods off the list. Now the carbs I do have come from fruits and vegetables.
When I first started cutting out the carbs it made me totally grumpy and almost nauseaus....felt like withdrawls or something! It made me realize what the carbs/sugars were doing to me physically and mood wise. Now I only feel like that if I "cheat" which makes it not worth it.0
