I am at a cross roads in my life and I am looking to possibly make a carrer change. Right now I am in the restaurant industry and I have experience in property managment as well. I am doing p90x and have always been interested in training (when I was on the work out wagon of course :)). I just wanted some opionions of those of you that might be a pt or have been a pt and see what your thoughts are. Also any tips or suggestions would be welcomed as well!! Thanks!!

I have also thought about this so Ill be checking back to see what opinions you get. I have thought about PT or group instructor, before I started college (as a part time job). What my plan is, after college ends and I get married. I may go for my PT certificate (not sure I wanna do the college) Ive also thought about a nutritionist too! But I figure teaching a few classes (maybe yoga or cycling) part time will keep me skinny, cuz who wants a fat PT & Ill be working out and getting paid at the same time, cant go wrong there!!!
I think you should go for it!!!

I think any career, including property management and personal trainer, beat the restaurant business hands down. The money's good especially if you are at a high end place but the hours suck.
My daughter is going back to school to be a nurse after a stint as a pastry chef.
I think being a personal trainer would be a great career. You stay fit and help other get fit. Perfect!
I researched this for my 19 year old son and all you need is a certificate. It might take some research to find the best place to get your certification but as Yogi Berra once said "When you come to the fork in the road, take it"
