hope this is the place to put this little gem of insanity...
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/diet-brides-feeding-tubes-rapidly-shed-pounds/story?id=16146271
"Brides-to-be looking to shed that final 10, 15 or 20 pounds in order to fit into their dream wedding gown have taken a controversial approach to crash dieting that involves inserting a feeding tube into their noses for up to 10 days for a quick fix to rapid weight loss. "
seriously??? this is a way to keep coma and surgical patients alive NOT a weight loss technique!!

Dreadful...saw it this morning!!!! Apart from the obvious health issues how on earth does a woman keep organizing for her wedding on a feeding tube!!!!
This type of stuff really is beyond understanding isn't it!!!0 -
This is probably one of the creepiest diets I've seen. Not worst, but definitely creepiest. Ick.
And insane! Seriously! I would not want to walk around with a tube in my nose and not eat for ten days. I like eating. Just.. This is terrible.0 -

Out of interest, what IS the worst you've heard of? I don't think I could think of anything worse than that!0 -
Ridiculous. I read that this morning. At one point it says something about how the major issue these women have to deal with is embarassment, so some don't go out when they're doing this. Uh, if you're embarrassed to leave the house with a damn feeding tube in your face for purely superficial reasons, that's probably a sign. Get your butt to the gym and make healthy choices. The minor weight loss they were discussing does not warrant such extreme tactics, and let's get real- you have someone who loves you the way you are, who wants to spend the rest of the foreseeable future with you-- this is so unnecessary!0

Eh, worst all around are just the one food "wonder" type diets. IE cabbage soup, celebrity diet (aka liquid diet), cookie diet, just any where you aren't getting proper nutrition. This one, as creepy as it it is, you are getting proper nutrients somewhere in the whatever the stuff is they feed you.0

HA! I kind of hope this gets more popular so I have more things to laugh at and brighten my day.
Amazing, the level of stupidity some people will accept.0 -
i agree with the total liquid diets being one of the worst.. i went on that heart smart soup diet thing, got to day two and gave it up. wasnt worth the screaming from my stomach..
the only person ive seen on a feeding tube walking around NEEDED to be on one. i really cant understand actually wanting to go on one for such little purpose and gain.0
