I have a fitness step at my house and did a good number of steps but the fitbit doesn't register them as stairs. Any idea if there is a setting i can change?

No idea really since I don't have one but I was on the website checking it out the other day and if I recall correctly, it has an altimeter on it. That would lead me to believe that if you are not actually climbing up (gaining altitude), then it will not count it as stairs. Again, this is just my opinion based on what I read so take it with a grain of salt.0
