Hi All,
Just wanted to introduce myself.
I've been trying to loose weight for years a few years ago I was able to lose 3 stone on Weight Watchers, but me and the plan changed I gained most of it back, and the new plan's not working for me.
Also currently the Doc suspects that I have gallstones, so I need to watch my diet more carefully my fat intake specifically, my WW leader is not very supportive of this, nor open to other ideas, So I've quit!
MFP seems ideal to build on the tracking etc skills built at weigh watchers but giving me the extra level of control I now need.
Thanks for listening
Cat.

I absolutely understand about the new WW program. I had lost a lot of weight on WW, but couldn't lose on the new program. And I didn't want to learn another one. MFP is perfect, and I've really learned how to track with this. I also see a dietician from time to time, and a calorie-counting diet is working.
Hope you'll enjoy MFP. It has worked for so many. I'm amazed and inspired daily.

Nice to meet you. Sorry to hear about the results of the new WW. I thought it was a good idea for them to account for things like high GI carbs. But I think that for a lot of people, change is bad once one finds one's way. The point is to stick to a system, and it's too bad WW changed theirs up on you! Good luck with calorie counting. It's a less nutritionally perfect method, but maybe you can get it to work for you! And the social support on here seems great.
All the best,
