Measuring body fat

Do you measure body fat in terms of BMI or based on measurements? I realize that there is a drastic difference between the two formulas, but I assumed that if one went down, then both would, so I'm tracking with both. This week, the BMI body fat calculation went up, while the measurement went down. I'm really at a loss for that. It wasn't my best week. I gained some back, but I lost an inch from my waist. Just trying to make sense of how to track my progress with body fat.

    not sure what you mean by BMI bodyfat.

    I usually use this, a one stop shop for Bodyfat, BMR and TDEE.

    I'm using two different equations. One measures body fat by using BMI. The other measures body fat by using measurements. I find the BMI one is probably closer to my actual body fat, but I think the measurements is more accurate on showing my progress. The BMI one has me around 40% body fat, and with 60 lbs to lose still, I would consider that accurate. But the measurements show that I am around 26% body fat... and that I lost 0.03% body fat since the beginning of the month.
