Headaches!!

I get headaches a lot...almost everyday. Fortunately, they only get to the point of migraines once in a while. Although I do work a full time job, I don't believe stress is causing them. I have tried more sugar, less sugar, more protein, bananas (was suppose to help). Maybe I am not eating enough? Usually around 1500 calories a day. I got tested for a gluten intolerance, and it came back negative. Does anyone else deal with this and what do you do? Any nutritional tips that can help?

I used to get frequent headaches. Tension headaches from neck/shoulders/upper back, migraines (pain, nausea) and 'fake' migraines (same symptoms but pain meds helped). I'd get headaches at 3x a week, migraines 2x a month. Last night I was filling out a symptom sheet for a chiropractor (going for the free nutritionist review and I realized since I've started walking every single day (10k/day) I've had two headaches and 1 migraine in three months. I was so used to them I didn't notice the lack until I had to make note of symptoms. YMMV, but you may want to start walking more.
Edit- I know that's not diet advice but your post made me think of it.
Have you tried an allergen elimination diet? That's where you focus on 1 thing (gluten, lactose, dairy, soy, etc) and eliminate any trace of that from your diet for 2 weeks to see if symptoms persist, clear, or get worse when you resume the food.0 -
you might get your eyes checked. If i don't wear my glasses enough (i can see fine with out them but my right eye over compensates for the left one being fuzzy) i get AWFUL head aches0

you are going to get so many different pieces of advice, you'll have to take some and leave some. What helped hugely for me was traditional chineese accupuncture. I also drink a herbal tea sometimes (called headache normalized tea). There's also some good aromatherapy out there for headaches. I still get them occasionaly (especially with stress, or if I wear my long hear down too much) then just take 1 advil and 1 tylenol and that usually will do it. Ofcourse lots of other "common sense" type of things get hydrated, cool cloth on forehead, quiet dark room (if able), etc. Those advil liquid gels are also super good for headaches! another thing to consider is horomones, are you more prone to headaches during certain stages of your cycle, if you're on horomonal birth control that could be a contributing factor. Might not hurt to see your family dr. I hope you can figure it out hun! I know it's not fun!!0

I get migraines with aura almost every day. Now I'm on prescription medication for it (topamax), it's actually an anti-seizure medication but doctors found it works for migraines too. I sometimes still have to take excedrin, maxalt, and/or vicodin (one of the three, not all at once) as well because even that doesn't work all the time. I recommend seeing a doctor, honestly! I suffered with migraines for YEARS before I sought help and I didn't have to.0
