Organic vs. Diet Food

A few years back after I had my daughter, I did weight watchers and lost about 30 lbs. Fast forward 2 years.. I was sick, had stomach problems, migraines, etc... and I switched to mostly organic food. I don't have "diet" anything anymore, and I FEEL a lot better... BUT.. all the weight I lost has come back over the past year. Ugh! I am working out doing cardio and weights for at least 5 hours a week and am trying to stick to about 1400 calories of 'real' food... (no fake sugars.. no "low fat... etc...) but it seems like the weight is barely moving.. MAYBE 1 pound every 2 weeks. Anyone else have this problem? I CAN'T eat diet foods.. they literally make me sick.. but weight doesn't seem to be moving!!!

Five hours a week of exercise on only 1,400 calories per day? Make sure you're not going into too deep of a caloric deficit - your body will hold on to the weight rather than shedding it if you aren't giving it enough fuel.

I agree, you likely need to eat more.

I'm short so my fitness pal recommends 1200 a day.. give/take some for exercise.. So I don't think that's the problem.. If anything I could eat up to 1500 calories and still be on track for what my fitness pal tells me.. and I'm not sure if that 100 calories is what would make a difference. I'd hate to gain weight!

If you are in a calorie deficit, you won't gain weight.

It is hard to give you any more advice without seeing your diary and the limited info given here.

Do you think the recommendations for calories on myfitnesspal are accurate? And do you think you should always eat your workout calories? I'm five foot three and weigh 150... (my picture is old, right after ww so I am smaller in my pic!) MFP recommends 1200 calories for a loss of 1.1 lbs a week. I've heard not to go below 1400 before.. So I generally make sure to do 200-300 on cardio and eat about 1400... Perhaps I should go up to more like 1600 on workout days? Idk guys, just trying to get some ideas to boost my metabolism!
