Negative to Positive????

Hello,
Please tell me how to go from negative to positive in life.
Has anyone here transformed from a negative thinker to a positive one?
I try so hard to just wake up and feel something and I pray everynight to wake up happy the next day and be grateful, but I wake up and dont feel happiness. My life has not always been this way but since my son passed a year and half ago I have turned into a very negative thinker... Any suggestions please

  • I am very sorry for your loss. 2011 was a bad year for me. I started out 2012 and decided it was time to start working on me. I am feeling much better about myself, I am not tired all the time, and I am actually happy again! Taking care of myself has turned my world right side up again. I wish you success in your journey.     Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can help as well if you can afford to see someone or if work covers it.

    Also, a gratitude journal may help as well - writing down 1-3 things every day that you are grateful for in your life. It may help give you a little more perspective on the here and now.
