I recently read reciepes where you can use turnips to make hashbrowns and french frys instead of using potatoes. I think im gonna try this. Has anyone ever tried this? Any suggestions?

i have tried it and it was really tasty (i baked my "fries")

I use lots of "carb cheats" in the kitchen

Spaghetti squash = any pasta or cheesy hashbrown casserole

steamed & mashed cauliflower = mashed potatoes (also works for turnips & parsnips)

there is also a cauliflower "pizza crust" that is floating around on pinterest and i am OBSSESED! its SO GOOD

Thanx for responding! I'm trying to find as many carb swaps as I can. Keeping my carbs slightly lower seems to be the best way for me to lose.
