Question about ankle weights

Do they help anything just by walking in them daily? Does it strengthen anything or help anything? Thanks...... I just bought some for my workouts but was just curious if they would benefit me in any way if i wore them all the time.

No they are rough on your knees. You'd be better served by just walking more, or faster. A weighted vest is a better option than ankle weights.
Good luck!0 -
Absolutely do not walk or jog in ankle weights. They'll mess up your knees and hips. That is NOT what they're for.0

I would not walk with ankle weights....as someone just posted it is very rough on your hips and knees. I use my ankle weights actually as hand weights when I walk. Or use a weighted vest as someone else recommended....just don't use them as you are walking. You will regret it later.0
