Eat back my calories?

I am trying to lose about 30 pounds. Currently I'm on week 15 and have lost 14 pounds. I have it set to lose 1.5 pounds weekly. I am allowed 1200 calories per day. I usually exercise (walking on the treadmill with weights or outside pushing my jogging stroller.) 4-5 days a week for a minimum of 40 minutes. I am stuck and can't lose anything else, and I'm not going over in my calories. If I am hungry, I eat. How do you tell if your body is going into starvation mode? I was afraid eating more would make me gain the weight back.

your problem is you are not eating enough, some days you eat less than 1000 and then exercise a load off too which is ridiculous.
the 1200 goal set my MFP is NET, so at the very least you should eat 1200 PLUS exercise cals.
saying that, if you have only 30lbs to lose you goal should be only 1lb per week, and when you get down to 15lbs to lose adjust to 0.5 per week so this will give you a few hundred more, i would guess around 1300-1400 plus exercise to lose 1lb.
Also try adding some weight training, this will help to lose inches as well as lbs so you dont end up thin but flabby.
You will probably gain the first week as you have been pretty much starving yourself, but give it a few weeks and the healthy losses will start!0 -
I agree with Em chuck, you aren't eating enough and probs are sending your body into starvation mode. Which will mean your weight loss will eventually slow down or even stop. I dont always eat all of my exercise cals back but I do always try to make sure I'm hitting as close to my daily cal goal as possible after exercise, if that makes sense? I've been on MFP aprox. 18 weeks now and have lost almost 3st to date so there is deff something in this "eating to lose weight" thing, there are some brilliant threads on here relating to it xxx0
