The USDA-recommended daily allowance of fruit and vegetables for an adult is five to nine servings per day. Drinking fruit and vegetable juice helps you meet that recommendation.
Benefits

Fresh fruit and vegetable juice provide vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber, and water. Juice is low in calories and easily consumed. The nutrients in juice are easily absorbed.
Vegetable Juice

Some of the most common vegetables for juicing are: kale, spinach, tomato, carrot, beet, celery, and cabbage. Calories in vegetable juice range from 45 calories in 8 oz. of carrot juice to 60 calories in 8 oz. of blended vegetable juice. This represents approximately 2 percent to 3 percent of a 2,000 calorie per day diet.
Fruit Juice

According to its website, one 8 oz. cup of Dole juice contains one serving of fruit. Fruit juices range from 80 calories per 8 oz. serving of watermelon juice to 160 calories per 8 oz.serving of blueberry-acai juice. This represents approximately 4 percent to 8 percent of a 2,000 calorie per day diet.
