Air travel and weight gain?

I spent the weekend at a NASCAR race, for 3 days walking up and down stairs, walking around garages and pits and to and from parking lots, standing much of the time, especially Saturday. I'm sure I burned at least 350 calories a day from this extra so that's how I logged it and that's probably being conservative. I tried to eat up my calories but didn't quite make it every day because I was pretty busy. What I did eat was "good" food that I brought with me. String cheese, water, fruit, whole grain crackers, a small McDonald's hamburger. I ate over on Sunday which was a rest and "cheat" day hoping that would catch up the calories so I wouldn't go on a starvation mode. I traveled by plane yesterday on 2 connecting flights. When I weighed this morning, I figured I'd would have lost at least a pound and much to my dismay the scale showed a gain of 2. Could the air travel cause water retention/weight gain? It's not my TOM or anything like that.

I would think so. I find air travel messes big time with my regularity.

Yeah, give it a few more days. My boss and I seriously call it "airplane weight". I had always noticed it, but once while he was on a diet he flew across the U.S. and then was freaking out. I told him about "airplane weight". It's just water. Just keep reminding yourself.
