Fruit Sugar vs. Processed Sugar

Hello!
I'm Kat, and I'm pretty new at this whole "health" thing. I started eating healthy/exercising about a week ago. My biggest issue has been my SUGAR TOOTH! I loooooovvvveeeee cookies. And ice cream. And gummy candies.
But that is not for me anymore, at least not in the normal run of things (I plan on treating myself now and then but not frequently). Since I dropped all the sugary snacks I have been munching a LOT of fruit (within my calorie goal).
Here is my question: Is natural fruit sugar (fructose, I guess) something I should cut back or feel guilty about? One of the reasons that refined sugar is no good (as I understand it) is that it is in the blood stream too short of a time before being deposited as fat. I guess if you eat refined sugar you have to go exercise it off right away or it becomes fat? (I could be totally confused about that...) Anyway, is that something I have to worry about with fruit? Will eating too much fruit make me fat (or keep me fat, haha)!? LOL! (I feel like a crazy person asking if fruit is ok to eat...) I have been spacing my snacks out (in the theory that that will keep my metabolism going stronger), usually an hour or two between fruit. I've mostly been munching apples, bananas and pears. I've also been snacking on carrots (which I think are pretty sugary for a vegetable) and mandarins/clemintines/small orange-like fruits. Can anyone tell me what sorts of fruits/veggies are good for snacking and which are not so good? Or other foods that are good and healthy to snack. If I don't keep nibbling during the day it is really hard for me to not gorge when I get home from work. I would try to snack more veggies but they just are not usually so convenient. Maybe I should hunt down some snap peas or edamame? I think I may be rambling. Thanks for any advice you all have!

Sugar is sugar. No one sugar counts more or less than any other to your body. It is just one micro-nutrient to be managed in the total deficit eating plan. Eating fruit will only make you fat if you eat too much of it and don't stay within your daily eating goals.0
