Здравствуйте! (Hello! in Russian, of course!)
I woke up a little crabby, not sure why. But I got up and did the 30 Day Shred and I feel better. I didn't think I would have time the rest of the day and Alex is sleeping in so that helps.
I measured and weighed myself. No weight change but I have lost a half inch on each thigh, and a half inch on my waist (which seems to fluctuate a lot). I could tell my thighs are thinner, so it was nice to see it on the tape. Why do we (all people concerned with their weight) get so concerned about numbers? What's so magical about the scale? I really should not step on it for like a month, and go by what matters: how clothes fit. I wonder if I stayed 155 for the rest of my life but was a size 8 if the scale would still bother me....
Mary, (and anyone else who might know) my cat is 16 years old and lately her cat box has smelled horrible! It's not all the time, but more often than it had been before. I did change her food but that was a few months ago and this is more recent. Any advice? Should I just change her food? Sorry ladies, it's on my mind since I can smell it this morning.
Today:
Shred (done!)
go grocery shopping
clean out the cat box really well.
clean up (OT coming tonight)
Possibly go for a walk with DH, which means trotting to keep up. lol
Happy Friday Boogaloo!

I guess the first thing I would need to know - is it a bad pee smell or poop smell?

From the book I'm reading about the diet industry, " it's hard to think of any other industry where so much money...is spent on products that consistently fail to deliver what they promise." I liked that.

We had some bad weather last night. We hid in the closet with two of our kitties for about 15 minutes. I think there were some tornado touch downs, but mostly it was radar indicated. I don't think anyone was hurt. I was noticed earlier in the day that we were under a tornado watch, but no rain was predicted  . I was just looking through the pictures (posted on a local news website) and my favorite has to be a family watching the storm while hail is falling. I've even seen this before - people out in the hail (keep in mind some of the hail was 1-2" diameter) - and the sky was that bluish/green. I'm not a happy person when the sky changes to bluish green.

Oh, yeah, so today I plan on either walking/ walk/jog or elliptical. Hurt my ankle a little in yoga last night, so we'll see how it goes. Also a home yoga session tonight.

Back to hot and humid, boogaloo.

ps - V, you'll hate me for this, but I had a 1966 Mustang as a teenager/college student. I took it down to a long block and rebuilt the entire engine. All the pictures are, of course, prints (but if you want to see, I could scan them). It was black on black - though it was primer with a big dragon on it for a while. It always overheated. One day, while driving home from summer school - it was 105 degrees, I was caught in rush hour, and I had to turn the heater on to avoid overheating the engine. That day, I decided to get a car with AC. I ended up with a 1993 Mustang convertible with pony interior (also had a 1971 convertible, but it was a p.o.s.) - then, later, I moved to cars with decent gas mileage.

pps - my brother had a 1969 Mach I with sparkly black boat paint on it. That was my favorite.

and, a 4 pm Bikram class.

and, eating only clean food (I had a few moments during crisis mode. . .and I paid for them bodily.)

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Animals, like us, stink as they get older. Could be the food change though. The more premium food you buy, the less likely of a stink. Cat Chow is a good choice at the grocery store.

Thanks Mary. I think I got Purina Indoor cat. She seems healthy enough.
Well, I gave in and ate a kid's meal from Braums. That's really just about the right amount of food for me. Maybe even a little less. I have burned 600 calories so far today. And the day is only half over. I haven't burned that many in a long long time.

    Crap, crap, crap.

I've been offered another job at the Hills - only this time it conflicts with my regular yoga class - I'm being offered two classes that are at the same time as the only two classes my teacher does (one of the classes I could make, but would have to drive like a demon to get to work). I don't know what to do. (no screaming emoticon).

I've looked for pics of my old car, and so far, I can only find a picture of the hood, with the dragon. I will post that one in my profile.

No advice, but the right answer will come to you, I think. The only thing that pops into my head is maybe you're being told that you're more teacher than student now. (not that any of us ever stops learning. . .)

    Here's a story for you:

My grandson, who's five has been doing yoga on the Wii, and even showed me some poses he knew the last time I saw him. For his kindergarten graduation, there was a pageant and there was a typical song with five year old choreography. At one point the words we're "I'm growing like a tree." and the kids were supposed to squat down and then grow. He did. . .into a perfect tree pose, I'm told. That's my boy.

Happy Friday boogaloo! It was beautiful today - I took a nice walk after lunch and then went running (on the treadmill - I don't really have any good safe outdoor places to run) after work. The first mile I did at 7mph, and the next 2.5 I did at about 5mph. I think I need new shoes - these are over a year old. They look OK, but I think they aren't cushy enough anymore. :embarassed:

Sorry to hear about your dilemma, Mary - but really, that is awesome that you are being offered your own class again. Any chance you could teach just one?

    Time for dinner boogaloo! :flowerforyou:
