What's my activity level? Help!

I want to go with the moderate 3-5 day level but something is holding me back and making me choose the light 1-3 day level. I think it's because I'm not sure what intensity it should be and if that makes a difference.

My daily routine is sedentary office work but for 5 to 6 days I do some form of cardio either walking, elliptical or stationery bike. 3 days a week I'll do around 15-20 minutes of arm, back and chest toning exercises with 2kg dumbells.

My last 3 of weeks have looked like this -

Cals Minutes
337 walking 58
336 Bike 45
262 Elliptical 40
167 Walking 32
200 walking 40
320 Bike 45
310 Walking 53

307 Bike 40
260 Bike 35
400 Walking 58
361 Walk/Ellip 54
209 Bike 40
319 walking 50

317 Bike 40
435 Walking 72
308 Bike 43
424 Walk/Ellip 62
246 walk 43
657 bike/walk 95

We live in a hilly area so I think that's why my calorie burns are high (?) for my walks....my heart definitely feels like it's going to explode out of my chest on some of the up-hills!

I wear a Polar HRM to get my calorie counts.

Thanks for any help :)

Your activity level is not meant to include your exercise. You get extra calories when you log your exercise, so if you include it in your activity level you're counting it twice.

Thanks for the reply. I've been looking at the whole Fat2Fit thing and really like the idea of just having around the same calories each day but just not sure which level to go for. At the moment I'm gradually working my way up to eating somewhere between both levels and seeing how I get on. Still logging exercise calories but just making sure that I at least net a 100-200 calories above my BMR.

    Does that sound right?

Polar HRMs, while great tools for HR, are often inaccurate for calories burned.

I think you are moderately active from the work-outs you listed.
