The ONE secret to reaching your goals!!

I read a lot of different threads on here from people with various backgrounds, experiences, challenges, goals and success stories. I find many of the success stories exciting and inspirational. Post after post offers an amazing insight into people's private victories over themselves and various weaknesses we are all challenged by. However, there seems to be an underlying theme to many people's posts about needing motivation to succeed in your goals or not being able to stick to your personal commitments due to various reasons.
While I concur that we all need external motivation at times to accomplish many things in our daily lives, there is one thing and one thing only that can ultimately motivate you to your goals and past them. This one thing is often overlooked by us and the fitness industry has made millions off of this one oversight. The greatness about this one thing is that it is free. Are you ready for it??? Are you sitting down??? The ONE thing that gives us the ability to reach our goals and succeed in any area of our lives...to motivate us past our previous failures....to push us past the doubts of ourselves and often others is this>>>>>The DECISION YOU make personally to yourself to reach your goals. Not to your kids, spouse, lover, friends, community or any person or thing outside of us. When we make the decision to our self, when we commit to our self that we will do this come hell or high water, it is then and only then we accomplish what we have set before us.
External pressure and cheering may help reinforce what we have settled within us, but it is only ourselves that determines the ultimate outcome.
Forget what others say. Start with what YOU say. Find that one thing in you that gives you the reason to accomplish your goal. That one burning desire to push you. Then commit to it 100%.
I have found in life when we really, really, really want something that we somehow make it appear. We make the sacrifice, the commitment to make that burning desire happen. We say 'NO' to other things until we reach that goal. That is what each of us on this journey must do. Make a 'YES' that is so powerful that is burns up any 'NO' that gets in our way. Find your 'YES' and you will find a clear path to your goals.
Find your 'YES' no matter what. Perhaps your 'YES' is to feel better, have more energy (no more 5 hour drinks), to fit into that swimsuit, to have the body you have always wanted, to get off the medicine or whatever it is. Find it and make it priority #1 and you will be amazed at the inner motivation that exist already within you. You WILL find the power to say 'no' when needed.
A part time 'YES' will not work. An "I kinda want it" will not produce the willpower and discipline needed for the powerful "No's" that will be required on your arduous journey. It is only because of the lack of a powerful "Yes" that we need external motivating stimulation and why we quit before the task was completed. A slap on the back from others is great. A slap on the back from yourself is greater.
Find your "YES" and you will reach every goal you set before yourself. Your inner task master will come forth and give you the strength and willpower needed to accomplish any task. We all have it. It only needs to be activated.
I wish everyone the success that you deserve.
