No advice, my first 5K isn't for a couple of weeks. But congrats on signing up! Have fun :)

Day before the race - collect your race kit (bib, timing chip etc) if you can, get all your gear laid out, hydrate well and eat well (but nothing too heavy or greasy - no new foods), go to bed early and get a good night's sleep.

Day of the race -eat a light breakfast (carbs & some protein - toast & PB or bagel & PB) arrive early, find your starting corral (if they're using them), warm up and when the gun goes off don't start out too fast (it's really easy to do).

Have fun, run your own race - don't worry about what others are doing in respect to pace, collect your medal and give yourself a big pat on the back!

    Good Luck!!!

I made a goal to run 5...5Ks...I had my first one this past weekend and did pretty good. So far I have signed up for a total of 6!!!!
Just stay calm before the race...but also dont think of it as a race. Think of it as a nice run in the morning or evening. It will go really good and it will fly by with running with a bunch of people!
