I just bought the cookbook when I was buying my textbooks for school...it looks awesome, but she crams sooooo many ingredients into simple recipes. I plan on altering all of them!

She does do that! But once you get "the staples" since you use such a small amout for the receipes you already have everything! Good luck on the altering ... I have had NO luck doing that. These are so altered already, it is nearly impossible. Also, little advice, eat the baked stuff quickly. It's all really good, but doesn't keep well at all. I've tried almost every baked item in both cookbooks!

Are the baked items good? I was thinking of picking it up for them, but didn't want to spend the cash if I'd do better with another book.

I have the cookbook too and I decided to pick a couple that were similar and I could use the same ingredients. I made 3 recipes at once and it worked out well. I agree she uses the same things over again so it wont be too bad once you have stocked up. Def try the apple slaw--it is awesome!

I  the ideas in the cookbook, so I use the recipes but add more spices or use the brands that I prefer (and then recalculate the nutritional facts). My fave is the spicy taco tuna salad. I put it on a wrap with some shredded cheese, fat free sour cream, fresh chopped tomato and spinach.
