If your Vitamin D is low like mine has been for several years now (try as I could, I couldn't get my level above 30.1), ask your Doctor to put you on prescription Vitamin D pills. I take one pill, three days per week and I've been on it to two months.

Checked my level last week and the results are in:

90.7!!!

I couldn't decide if me feeling better was exercise, the sunshine I get every day, or the pill, but I tell ya what-

I FEEL WONDERFUL.

Julie :)

Wow...what is prescription Vitamin D? Is it just a larger dose?
I was able to get from 7 (scary huh?!) to 42, but I'm stuck at 42!

I was at 16 last year and my doctor put me on a two month scrip, take a pill once a week, and then I was supposed to start taking an OTC vitamin weekly. Well, this year I was at 13, so back to the weekly prescription pills. I think I have about three weeks left of the weekly doses. How do you check your levels other than getting lab work done? And what difference do you notice when your levels are higher? I was just hoping to get my levels up in the 30s, but from the previous posters I'm guessing it should be much higher!

I am in the same vitamin D boat. My level is a whopping 9! Doc has m on 50k units once a week plus 1000 unit supplement a well as what is in my multi. She says she'll be happy if I get to 30 ( which is still considered deficient) . Is that lack of D why I m tired and achy?
