 Why all the hate? Starch? Carbs? It's a fruit?

For me it's carbs. I'm diabetic. If I'm eating fruit, I opt for lower carb options like berries.

I love bananas and I eat them frequently, but I find if I eat them first thing in the morning, I tend to digest them quickly, and I feel hungry way before lunch. I usually have them in the afternoon, before dinner.

I love bananas cut up in plain yoghurt with just some cinnamon or occasionally a sprinkle of stevia. Even a diabetic could probably handle a very small banana or half of one.

I love them! I just hate how quickly they go bad. I guess I should buy a few yellow and then a few green next time. That way, they last a whole week! :D

Take the peels of the ripe ones and cut them up. Then put them in plastic bags and freeze them. Frozen bananas make and awesome base for smoothies!

I had been eating them daily for a while and decided it should be axed because it was "useless" carbs that I could replace with protein elsewhere. After a week without them, I've had really bad leg cramping due to the lack of potassium, I went back to having a banana a few days ago and my legs feel much better.

I suppose coz they are a whole type of fruit altogether. Eat too much fruit they give you the runs, Eat too much banana's you can't go.

BUT I love them!!! Awesome source of energy and keeps you full longer than any other fruit

I ate at least 1 every day when I was training for a marathon. I love them. My son loves them. I keep them in the house all the time. For a great dessert freeze one blend it with a tablespoon of peanut butter and a little honey if you like it sweet (ate that a lot while I was pregnant)

I understand people with certain health issues have to avoid them, but I am glad I am not one of those people.

I had a dilema in that having a banana would put me over my carb intake for the day. Then I thought, 'Hey it's fruit and the more colours the better right?!'.

So I ate it - YUM! LOVE bananas, couldn't live without them! Who cares if the carbs are over by a few points? I should only really worry about processed carbs like white bread eh?

Very, very sad that I am out of bananas. I froze the last 2 before I came to work because they were going bad. How am I supposed to work without bananas?

Bananas: I like them. They are delicious. And they make for funny anecdotes and nicknames. Case in point: banana hammock...you know you just pictured some old greek guy in a speedo. Or maybe a guy from LMFAO.
    That is all;)
